In our Kindergarten classes, we use the Word of Life  program by Ignatius Press and Augustine Institute. We chose this dynamic program because it is a strongly Scripture-based curriculum. In addition to helping students learn the Faith through Scripture, the Word of Life series actively teaches students different ways to pray with Scripture, where they come to know and love God.

In our 1st & 3rd-5th Grade classes, we use Alive in Christ from Our Sunday Visitor. We chose this program as it helps the children better understand, grow in and live in their faith. This program is grounded in the values of integrity and promotes a distinctly Catholic identity.

In our 2nd Grade classes, we use Encounter with Christ from Our Sunday Visitor to prepare our students to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. In this program, children come to understand the order of the Rites, the signs and what they signify, and the meaning of the Sacraments in the larger context of our Catholic faith. Children and families are inspired and moved to full and active participation in parish life.

The sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are usually received at the end of the 2nd grade year, after 2 years of formation classes (1st and 2nd grade). Please contact our office for older students who would like to prepare for these sacraments.
